BELK BUILDING

Wadesboro, NC

This circa 1920's building was "modernized" in the early 1960s to reflect the "new modern day era." Over the following years, the underlying attachment system began to deteriorate, resulting in the failure of the aluminum panel system.

As aluminum panels were removed, the underlying 1920's structure began to emerge

Once all aluminum panels were removed, the original structure was revealed.

Exposed ornate brick masonry and arch windows

In keeping with the original historic value, the building was cleaned, tuckpointed, and new windows were installed that matched the original window profiles.

New wood framed awnings were built and covered with metal panels
